A Japanese Automotive Company is currently looking to add 2 Mechanical Engineers to their Georgetown, KY location. Both these positions are full-time and fully onsite.
The salary range for this position would be between the 55k-70k range based on skills & experience.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will provide technical application support in the project development stage and oversee project installation at the end user facilities.
For the 2 openings, the application requirements are as follows:
1) A newly graduate candidate with a BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering willing to learn and develop their skills. The use of the Japanese language although a plus, is not mandatory.
2) A somewhat experienced candidate (2+ minimum) with a BA/BS & background experience in Mechanical Engineering. This candidate should possess intermediate level Japanese skills in order to apply.
Your essential duties would be as followed:
• Assess customer needs and provide feedback to management in order to determine the
capability of the company to provide effective products, equipment, services, training and
aftercare to the customer.
• Support customer needs and calculate costs to provide project development through cost,
time and manpower needs.
• Assist with manufacturers’’ training for customer on technical data and operating
procedures
• Follow-up with customers to assure equipment, products, and/or services are effectively
meeting the customers’ needs
• Install end products for the customer, supervise contractors or contract laborers as required
to create an operating system.
• Be able to read layout and equipment drawings
• Assist the Sr. Engineer/Project Manager to collect project and technical information
to make bid package
• Record, analyze, and summarize project costs under the project manager’s
supervision
• On-site management of project under the project manager's supervision
• Check and confirm all floor layouts match prints/drawings
• Confirm installation specifications are according to bid documents
• Coordinate all technical issues between contractors, ITS and customer
• Coordinate customer-required and contractor meetings to assure continuity of
efforts and communicate status and concerns.
• Maintain continuing contact with Japanese parent companies and multinational suppliers to
ensure all incoming products or equipment are on schedule. Guide and oversee continuity.

• College degree of equivalent work experience
• Knowledgeable in all aspects of the equipment, installation, use, service, and training
required to provide customers with quality product.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage and oversee multiple projects/operations
• Knowledge in the production and installation of robotic, conveyance and manual welding
equipment, machining, and assembly equipment, press and test bench products.
