A Japanese publisher of video games is currently looking to add a Partner Relations Representative to their Partner Relations Team. This position would be responsible of bridging the gap between the company and their Japanese developers and licensors. The perfect candidate is someone who’s always keeps up with the latest gaming news and publications and someone who is always finding new ways to get top tier coverage of this company’s games.
The salary range for this position would be between 60k-100k based on experience and skills.
Your essential duties would include the following:
Establish and maintain day-to-day communication with Japanese developers and licensors.
Collaborate on negotiations with business partners, developers, licensors, distributors, First Party entities, and media.
Maintain a strong relationship with first party partners to secure resources available to the company.
Assist in other teams’ work including, but not limited to, ensuring deadlines for various projects and submission of materials to our business partners.
Thoroughly play and analyze each game, transferring comprehensive product knowledge to the team.
Advocate for licensed titles internally, facilitating a deeper understanding of the titles’ concepts.
Present our games in the form of a PowerPoint or Google Slide and gameplay demo to the team.
Collaborate with the Marketing team to contribute to the development and execution of marketing plans.
Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented marketing plans through analysis and measurement.
Conduct research and analysis of potential titles and markets for future business initiatives.
Assist in the planning and execution of Company events, including, but not limited to, NGPX, E3, Gamescom and Anime Expo.
Perform other duties as assigned
Please consider the following qualifications when applying for this position:
Fluent Japanese and English speaker (For Japanese, N1 level or better is required)
Have several years of experience working in Japan (working experience)
Those who have done sales-related things (because there will be a lot of communication with the outside world)
Those with good communication skills (as there will be a lot of communication with – – Japan, those who are witty and can read between the lines)
Have no problem with business travel (several times a year in the U.S. and possibly overseas, including Japan)
Able to commute to their office in Santa Ana.
